Hello Archers,

This is a big THANK YOU to the entire club.

The beginning of 2010 has been great. The club is growing and member participation is at an all time high. Thanks, to all the members who helped set up ranges, ran the signup and concessions, worked on targets, mowed the range and lanes, or contributed through participation in our shoots. The result of all the work is that the range is in great condition, and the club is in great condition both financially and with regards to the membership roll. We already have over 100 members and grow with each shoot. If you have friends who are bow-hunters, tell them about the club and encourage them to join.

The ASA state qualifier was a big success as we set both records for first-time ASA Qualifiers and South Regional Qualifiers. Remember that we still have a number of Club Championship shoots left; so, be sure and come out to the shoots, and don’t forget that we have a variety of Concho Valley Archery shirts for sale.

We will be trying to get a photo gallery going on our website in the next month, and we will be accepting articles for our newsletter scheduled for July. If you have anything to contribute, please email it to Ron Scott at rscott@angelo.edu. Please make sure to provide contact information so that you can be contacted if there are any editing issues that need to be addressed.

If you are on the range and see sticks or limbs in the shooting lanes, please pick them up and throw them out in the rough part of the range. This will help prevent damage to the mowers. And as always, please remove any trash you see on the range. It will be appreciated.
