Next Club Championship Shoot Saturday June 5th.
CVAA 2010 Club Championship
In 2010, the CVAA will sponsor a Club Championship Series for club members. The series will consists of five (5) club shoots and one (1) Club Championship Shoot. While members may participate in any class they choose (or as many classes as they choose), members will only be able to win in one class. In order to participate in the club championship, each shooter must be a member in good standing at the time he or she participates in a club shoot. Photographs of the Championship Series awards will be posted on this website at a later date.
Important Notice!!!--Please note that the following notice only applies to compound shooters. Traditional archers may shoot additional rounds as they do not use sights.
While a shooter may shoot more than one round at our club shoots and shoot in a different class, only the card for the first round and first class shot is eligible for the Club Championship Series. The reason is apparent as a shooter has already seen the course and may have an unfair advantage when it comes to the unknown distances.
Rules:
The shoot will consist of twenty targets. The first-ten targets will be known-distance and the second-ten targets will be unknown-distance. For targets with upper and lower twelve rings, shooters will shoot the upper 12 ring for known-distance and the lower 12 ring for unknown-distance (center rings only count for 10). Targets that do not have an upper and lower 12 ring, the center ring will count as 12. Shooters will be given a yardage sheet for the known distances. Shooters may use a rangefinder on the know distances, but rangefinders are prohibited on unknown-distance targets. Rules for shooting in ASA shoots apply.
Shooters in the Championship Series must register to be assigned to a shooting group (shooters in the Championship Series cannot shoot alone). Shooters should try to start before 9:30 and all score cards should be turned in by 1 p.m. that afternoon. All score cards must be signed by the shooter and a scorer. Any exceptions must be approved by discussing the situation with a Club Officer.
Score cards must be turned in if the shooter wishes his or her score to count in the Club Championship. All scores counting toward the Championship will be posted on our website.
For more information or clarification, please see a club officer at the shoot.
Hope to see you out there.
